Project Overview

The original idea started with our client falling in love with a very exclusive, hybrid fiber from a breed of the Paco-Vicuña.

Marrying these beautiful fibers with our client’s love of luxury clothing and clothing design was the origin for the Lujo Lifestyle Brand. In this project, our team captured the brand feel and voice of the company, designing the logo and tagline, designing the artist-inspired packaging and developing Lujo’s fonts, color palette and style guide.

Founders Jan Cipoletti and Terry Rajendran were dynamic to work with. From day one, our team knew this project was going to be special. Rarely do you see a new brand come out and create something fresh and new, especially with clothing, but this dynamic duo certainly did. With a goal to be perceived on the same level of high-end brands, the brand design had to match the level of luxurious found in their luxury garments and home goods.

Founder Jan Cipoletti is a brilliant artist, especially with water colors. Her inspirational images were the genesis for the logo, packaging design, weaving of fibers, clothing and home goods. Every piece of Lujo packaging we designed actually incorporated one of Jan’s original works of art. From a product and branding standpoint, this unique approach allows them to stand out in a competitive field with a unique look and compelling story consumers will belive in.

THE FINAL PRODUCT

Lujo’s target demographic are affluent men and women ages 40 and up. The final product, color palette and presentation of packaging instantly lets the consumer know there is something special waiting inside. Our client’s objective with packaging was to create heirloom pieces. “We want our packaging to be that piece you never throw away…it should be a valued treasure and be passed down, along with our luxurious garments,” says Terry.

Terry and her husband travel the world together. Their aspirations for luxurious fibers led them to purchase their own flock of Alpacas high in the mountains of Chile. Working with their fiber source in Chile and their manufacturing partner state side, has resulted in this brand flourishing to life.
