Project Overview

For this project, our team started with nothing and built an entire brand around the idea that sports and your life were better without being tethered to wired headphones. From start to finish, our team handled the logo design and trademark protection, all of the packaging design, including writing and designing the user manuals and quick start cards.

The most exciting part of this project was negotiating and working with three Olympic athletes as Ambassadors for the Red Fox brand. From video production and product photography to graphic design for their booth at Outdoor Retainer and major events like the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series, this project was a beast and one we are very proud to show off.

The most decorated U.S. triathlete in history, Hunter Kemper is one of only two men in the world to qualify for every Olympic triathlon (2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012) and the only man in the world to complete all four. Hunter was one of three Olympians we had the pleasure of working with on the campaign for Red Fox Wireless. In this short clip, Hunter is riding through Garden of the Gods in his hometown for a short spotlight social media video for Red Fox Wireless.

STARTING FROM SCRATCH

STARTING FROM SCRATCH

The Red Fox Wireless project was one for the books. The unique thing about this project is that we started from scratch with the client. They had nothing, giving our team a blank slate to show off what our capabilities were. This was a big project to tackle and our team was up for the challenge. Rapidly expanding their line of premium Bluetooth products across the United States required quality branding, packaging, photography and an aggressive digital marketing plan. Our marketing opened big doors very quickly for Red Fox, including multiple appearances on the national home shopping TV channel Shop HQ, formerly EVINE.

FROM CONCEPT TO DELIVERY

FROM CONCEPT TO DELIVERY

The most challenging part of a new brand concept is to work with the end goal in mind. Red Fox had stiff competition from much larger players in the Bluetooth market, so it was critical to their success that we develop a brand that instantly evoked quality, premium materials and built a strong consumer confidence and following. One strategy that worked well was positioning the brand in multiple national sponsorships for events like the Boston Marathon, Dallas Marathon, GoPro Games and Pro Cycling Challenge. Traversing the nation, the brand had up to 15 ambassador expo teams showcasing the products and putting them into the hands of their key demographic - runners, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts.

CREATING A NEW BRAND

CREATING A NEW BRAND

Our list of deliverables on this project consisted of designing and trademarking the logo, brand tone and style guide, packaging design, writing the user guides, scripting and producing product how-to videos, e-commerce website design, commercial photography, copywriting, expo booth design and creating a following of first-adopters. Additionally, our team conducted all market research and managed the massive digital advertising campaign for online sales. "My favorite memory from this project was working with Andy Potts, Olympian and Triathlete, who used his bicycle as a guitar during the photoshoot. His personality was addictive and larger than life. The best part of our job is doing great things with great people,” says Josh Cates, Ten Peaks Media Founder.

WORKING WITH OLYMPIANS

WORKING WITH OLYMPIANS

We positioned Red Fox early on with professional athletes to endorse their products. The power behind these athletes and their following proved to be a worthwhile investment for Red Fox. Thanks to the exposure from the Red Fox Olympic athlete ambassadors, the brand and products quickly gained national attention and press. A majority of the major cycling and running magazines featured the products in gift guides and gear reviews, leading to valuable earned media and press coverage. This exposure catapulted the company to major sponsorships with large cycling and marathon races across the US, as well as a fast saturation into over 130 national retail locations.
